Frequently asked questions

What people ask us

What is The Wedding CMO?

The marketing hire you've always needed. It gets to know your business in one conversation, links to your calendar and plans your marketing around your weddings. It writes everything in your voice, up to 20 pieces from one wedding, from the blog post to the review request, with every vendor credited. Nothing posts until you say okay, and it tells you in plain words what's working.

Who is it for?

Anyone who works weddings and events: photographers, planners, venues, florists, DJs, caterers, bakers, bridal shops and everyone else on the team. If marketing keeps landing at the bottom of your list, The Wedding CMO is for you.

Can I try it for free?

Yes. A free account gets your voice profile and one wedding's marketing, with no card needed. Everything it makes, including your voice profile, is yours to keep.

Will it sound like me?

Yes. That's the whole point. It writes from your own words, not a template. And the longer you use it, the better it gets to know you.

Does it change things without asking?

Never. When you change anything, it asks before it remembers. Say Just this once and your voice profile stays as it was.

Do I have to type?

No. Tap the microphone and talk. When you type, you stop to hunt for the perfect words. When you talk, you just say it, and that's how it learns the way you really communicate. You can type whenever you'd rather.

What does it make from one wedding?

Up to 20 pieces, each one written for where it’s going: a blog post to be found on Google and in AI search, three Instagram posts, an Instagram Story, two Facebook posts, up to 10 Pinterest pins, Google Business Profile posts and a review request for the couple.

Where do the search numbers come from?

Real search data for your area: how many people search each phrase every month, how easy each one is to rank for and which big directories hold the first page. It picks the ones you have a real shot at.

Does it work for events too?

Yes. This is one of the things that really sets us apart. It turns the work you’ve already done into blogs, LinkedIn posts and Google posts built to be found by people planning holiday parties, galas and corporate events, so wedding season isn’t the only season that pays the bills. Every tool also works on its own, so you can write a blog post, social post, pin or Google post about any event or topic, no wedding needed.

Does it write LinkedIn posts?

Yes, when LinkedIn fits. Your wedding content stays wedding content, so LinkedIn isn't one of the 20 pieces. You can write a LinkedIn post anytime with the LinkedIn Post Creator. And when one of your weddings shows the kind of work corporate clients book, it offers a LinkedIn post along with the others, if you're on LinkedIn.

Can I use the templates I already made in Canva?

Yes. Just save your design from Canva, or any design tool, and upload it once. It becomes your own template, saved in your account, and every post you ask for comes back in it, so your brand always looks like you. If your design uses a special font, it asks you to add it once. No templates yet? Choose from ours.

Does it help me get reviews?

Yes. Every wedding includes a review request in your voice, and nothing goes to a couple until you say okay. Your couple taps the link and talks about their day and what it was like working with you. Then it writes their review in their own words, with a link to each site where you collect reviews. Nothing goes in their review that they didn't say.

Can I choose which couples get a review request?

Yes. Every wedding includes one, written in your voice and ready to go, but nothing goes to a couple until you say okay, so you can skip any couple you'd rather not ask.

What about photo credit?

We built it so credit can’t be skipped. A photo can’t be added without its photographer’s credit, and nothing posts without it.

Do you use AI images?

Never. Every photo is a real one that you uploaded or a photographer shared with you, credited to whoever took it. It never creates AI images and never retouches or changes what's in your photos. The only thing it will ever do is resize or crop a photo so it fits each platform.

Does it credit the other vendors at the wedding?

Every one of them, on every post. And once the posts go out, it offers to email the whole team so they know they were featured and can share it too.

Does it post for me?

Yes. Once you okay a piece and its day, it posts on its own. A few, like Instagram Stories, can’t be posted from outside their own app, so for those it hands you everything ready to post.

Which calendars does it work with?

Google Calendar, Outlook and Apple Calendar, plus Acuity Scheduling, Aisle Planner, Bloom, Bonsai, BriteBiz, Calendly, Check Cherry, Curate, Dubsado, Event Temple, GigSalad, HoneyBook, Light Blue, Perfect Venue, Pixieset, Planning Pod, Releventful, ShootProof, Studio Ninja, Táve, Tripleseat and 17hats. A few of them sync only through Google Calendar. If your booking tool syncs to one of those three calendars, it works too.

Which accounts can it post to?

An Instagram Business or Creator account, a Facebook Page, Pinterest, LinkedIn if you're on it and your Google Business Profile once it's claimed and verified. Your blog posts can go straight to WordPress or Showit. If something isn't set up, it tells you what's needed.

Can it post to Wix or Squarespace?

Not directly. Your blog posts can go straight to WordPress or Showit. If your site is on Wix, Squarespace or anything else, every post is ready to copy and paste in, with the photos and alt text included.

Can it repurpose blog posts I've already written?

Yes. Pick one from your site or paste any link, and it writes the social posts, pins and Google posts that point back to it, in your voice. Nothing posts until you say okay.

What does it cost?

Founding members pay $99 a month or $1,188 a year, with the price locked for two years and every tool included. Founding membership is for the first 50 members. After that, membership is $199 a month. See pricing.

How many weddings are included?

Up to 50 weddings a year, which covers just about every wedding pro's full season. Each extra wedding after that is a one-time charge: $25 each for the next 10, $20 each for the 10 after that and $15 each after that. You're always asked before anything is charged.

What about the other tools?

Use them as much as you like. The Blog, Social Post, LinkedIn Post, Pin, Google Post and Review Request Creators have no limits, so you can write about any topic, event or idea whenever you want.

Can I cancel?

Anytime, from "Manage billing" in your account. Cancelling stops future charges, and you keep access through the end of the month or year you've paid for.

Can I get a refund?

On a yearly plan, yes: cancel within 14 days of your first yearly charge and email support@theweddingcmo.com, and the first yearly charge is refunded in full. After 14 days there's no refund, and you keep access through the end of the year you paid for. Monthly charges aren't refunded, and you keep access through the month you've paid for.

Do you sell my data?

No. Your photos, your recordings and your writing are never sold. Read the privacy policy.

What do you do with my photos and my voice recordings?

When you talk to it, your recording goes to a speech-to-text service that turns it into words, and then the recording is discarded. It never stores your audio. It keeps the written words, so your answers are saved. Every photo it uses was uploaded by you or shared with you by the photographer who took it, and it's credited to that photographer. It never retouches or changes what's in a photo and never creates AI images. The only thing it will ever do is resize or crop a photo so it fits each platform.

Can you also build my website or run my SEO?

The Wedding CMO doesn't build websites, but the team behind it does. We build websites, run local SEO and Google Business Profiles and run full SEO programs for wedding pros. Tell us what you need and we'll talk it through.

Let's talk

Can I talk to a real person?

Yes. Tap the chat button on any page or in the app, any time, and if you'd rather talk to me, it'll get you to me.
